Westport was designed in the Georgian architectural style. Westport has two beautiful stone bridges, and stone walls that line the river Carrow Beg. The streets are tree lined with many shops all kinds of offerings.
The town also has a lively nightlife with several pubs offering all kinds of Irish music. Including Matt Malloy’s pub, you may know him from the famed Chieftains.
Westport is also close to Croagh Patrick, the famous pilgrimage mountain, on which St. Patrick fasted for 40 days, the peek of which looks out over The gorgeous Clew bay.
